The Most Notable Human Rights Violations in Syria in January 2019
Syrian Network for Human Rights
3 February 2019

Coalition member the Syrian Network for Human Rights released its January report on the human rights situation in Syria. The document totals civilian casualty figures, enforced disappearances, and violations of international law in the conflict. It also calls on the UN Security Council to work towards a cease-fire in accordance with Resolution 2254 and highlights the importance of referring guilty parties to the International Criminal Court. Given the repeated failure to bring an end to hostilities by other means, SNHR advocates for the implementation of the RtoP norm.
