On 6 June 2013, the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies (MIGS) hosted an online panel discussion on Syria and the future of R2P as part of its Digital Mass Atrocity Prevention Lab initiative (DMAP Lab). The speakers were: Simon Adams, Executive Director of the Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect, Michael Abramowitz of the US Holocaust Memorial Museum and Kyle Matthews of the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies.
