The Regional Coordinator of Economic and Social Research (CRIES) and the International Coalition for the Responsibility to Protect (ICRtoP) invites all undergraduate and graduate students from universities in Latin America and the Caribbean to participate in the presentation of papers on the principle of ' Responsibility to Protect ". Topic: "Implementing the Responsibility to Protect in Latin America and the Caribbean"

-Entries can be submitted in English, Spanish or Portuguese and must not exceed 20 pages.

1st Place
$ 500 and publication of the article in the Journal trilingual "Pensamiento Propio"

Jury
The jury is composed of four renowned scholars of the subject:

Dr. Mariclaire Acosta. Academic and former Special Ambassador for Human Rights and Democracy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico. He is currently a Research Affiliate of the Center for International Studies Centre for Research and Teaching in Economics (CIDE) in Mexico.
Dr. Thomas Legler. Professor of International Relations at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico.
Dr. Gilberto Rodrigues. Ph.D. in International Relations Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo and member of the Analysis Group on Conflict Prevention (GAPCOM).
Dr. Andrés Serbin. CRIES President and Chair of the International Coalition for the Responsibility to Protect.
