Recommended Standards from Civil Society: Leaving No One Behind for Planet 50/50 by 2030 - Every rural woman and girl everywhere

15 March 2018

On 15 March, Civil Society and UN Women co-organised this event to provide a space to discuss how we can best work to ensure “Leaving No One Behind” (LNOB), particularly women and girls from rural areas, whilst accomplishing the Sustainable Development Goals. Throughout these conversations, Civil Society created various recommendations based on three core principles:

-       A shift from vulnerability to leadership.

-       ‘Nothing about us without us’.

-       Government Accountability.
