Media Briefing by Adama Dieng, Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide, on his visit to South Sudan

On 11 November, the Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide, Adama Dieng, released a media briefing on the situation in South Sudan in response to growing concern about developments in the country, including reports of targeted ethnic violence. The Special Adviser called on the South Sudanese leaders to take immediate measures to end the violence and uphold the responsibility to protect the population from atrocity crimes.
